The Merlin Project

With a spare bedroom in his apartment all decked out with lights and fans Lance, who asked that his last name not be used, maintains several marijuana plants he is legally allowed to grow April 26, 2002. Lance, who has tested positive for HIV, Hepatitis B & C and Epstein Barr Virus, uses the marijuana to help relive pain, nausea and lack of appetite. Lance grows the plant under very strict rules set down by the federal government and though local police are aware of it he says they are not happy. Lance was given permission to grow up to 25 plants earlier this year.
